Rachel W. Rosenfield
Hello! My name is Rachel W. Rosenfield, a social media expert, community manager, and culture journalist. I cover a wide variety of topics through different social media and long-form projects and I am excited to share my work! Read below to learn a bit more about my work, or click one of the headings above to see some specific examples.

My Education
I graduated from Brandeis University in May of 2025, where I got a Bachelor of Arts in English and American Studies with a minor in Journalism. At Brandeis, I was an editor-in-chief of the school newspaper, The Brandeis Hoot, and I was also a student leader in the Journalism department, where I assisted with department events and encouraged students to declare a Journalism minor.
I took many relevant and useful courses at Brandeis, including Social Journalism: The Art of Engaging Audiences, Opinion Writing, Political Packaging in America, American Independent Film, Hollywood and American Culture, Arts Journalism: The Making of a Podcast, and Reinventing Journalism for the 21st Century. These classes, and many others, prepared me for future career opportunities.
My Experience
Currently, I am a Social Media Maanager/Consultant for Athletech News. I have been running the publication’s social media accounts, with a focus on the Instagram and LinkedIn accounts, which have over 47k followers and over 17k followers respectively. I design three Instagram posts a day and two LinkedIn posts a day, with all of these posts often receiving a hundred links and bringing hundreds of clicks to the Athletech News website. I was brought on to the Athletech News team to develop a social media strategy for the ATN Innovation Summit, an annual event for fitness industry executives, which saw over 800 attendees and dozens of panels across two days. I have worked on content for before, during, and after this event as a consultant, along with regular editorial social media tasks to prepare Athletech News for the website’s future marketing-focused direction.
I was previously a Community Manager for The Daily Beast. I help design eye-catching Instagram posts centered around trending news articles, which are seen by over 500k followers, along with writing up concise social media posts to advertise articles on X, Facebook, Threads, and Bluesky. I have also done a lot of work with The Daily Beast’s Reddit strategy, figuring out which articles are best for the website, what will get the most traction, and decide which subreddits deserve the most focus. Furthermore, I have worked on YouTube strategy by creating short clips of long-form YouTube podcast episodes that are posted on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
I have also worked with many different journalistic publications, with hundreds of bylines to my name. My work has been viewed/read by hundreds of thousands of people. I have covered a myriad of topics, such as entertainment, music, Jewish culture, books, fashion, shopping, wellness, university events, breaking news, and more. In addition, I have also worked as an editor for articles pertaining to these topics. That type of work has involved me assigning ideas, copy-editing, fact-checking, formatting, and finding appropriate images for many stories.
