Short-Form Videos: Politics

While working at The Daily Beast, I created short-form videos for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. Most of these videos were 60 to 90 second clips from podcast episodes. The Daily Beast has two political podcasts, The Daily Beast Podcast and Inside Trump’s Head. I would choose moments from these episodes that had attention-grabbing commentary or shocking stories. I would edit them down to fit the allotted time frame, add photos to give context for the conversations, and edit captions to match what the hosts and guests were saying. I would also write a title, and description for each short video. Across multiple social platforms, each of these short videos often received a combined total of over 100k views.
