Short-Form Videos: Politics

While working at The Daily Beast, I created short-form videos for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. Most of these videos were 60 to 90 second clips from podcast episodes. The Daily Beast has two political podcasts, The Daily Beast Podcast and Inside Trump’s Head. I would choose moments from these episodes that had attention-grabbing commentary or shocking stories. I would edit them down to be under 90 seconds, add photos to give context for the conversations, and edit captions to match what the hosts and guests were saying. I would also write a title, and description for each short video. These short videos often received over 100k views in total.
